Summary: Summary of events from the Coast during the Civil War (1860-1862). Reprint of August 31 Santa Marta bulletin from Julio Arboleda regarding the disorder in the Atlantic region. Arboleda declares that the government forces will beat the rebellion.
Historical Notes: This document comes from the beginning of the Colombian Civil War (1860-1862). Tomás Cipriano de Mosquera, Arboleda's uncle, led a rebellion against Mariano Ospina's Conservative-led government, taking over the presidency from July 18-1861-February 4, 1863.
