Summary: This document presents the arguments of Nicolás Esguerra, who aimed to reveal the inconsistencies in the adjudication of contracts and in the work done for the Antioquia Railroad by different British entrepreneurs. It includes the original stipulations of contracts.
Historical Notes: The Antioquia Railway linked Medellín with Puerto Berrio along the Magdalena River. Construction of the 193km railroad started in 1875 and ended in 1929, and a contract for a second section of the railroad from Medellín to the Cauca River below Amagá was finished in 1930.
