Summary: This compilation of laws governed the state of Boyacá from 1882 to 1883. It details the expected state expenses including the salaries for public functionaries as well as the operating costs for the maintenance of the state’s infrastructure.
Historical Notes: Boyacá is located in eastern Colombia. This department was first established by the 1881 constitution. Its size was reduced when Arauca (1911) and Casanare (1973) became separate states. Although a new Centralist constitution was approved for Nueva Granada in 1843, each state would retain its own constitution and manage its resources with relative independence.
