Summary: Julio Delgado, the Cauca Department’s Treasury Administrator, presented a fiscal report for the years 1896-1897. According to the report the most important source of tax revenue was alcohol. The report includes details concerning the amount of collected levies and their projected investment.
Historical Notes: Today’s Departamento del Cauca was created by the 1886 constitution. It is located in the southwest of Colombia and its capital is Popayán.
